That the Audit Committee DO NOW MOVE into closed session for the purposes of receiving information of a confidential nature respecting A Matter of Litigation Affecting the Municipality under section 239(2)(e) of the Municipal Act, 2001 - Insurable Legal Claims

That the order of the agenda BE AMENDED to consider Agenda Item 5.3 before Agenda Item 5.2.

That Report AC-C 9-2023, dated May 15, 2023, respecting Appointment of Auditors, BE RECEIVED and the following recommendation BE APPROVED: 1. That Deloitte BE APPOINTED as the Niagara Region’s (the Region) external auditor for an additional one-year term for the calendar year ending December 31, 2023, and the fiscal year ending March 31, 2024.

That Report AC-C 12-2023, dated May 15, 2023, respecting Court Services - Quality Control Procedures Audit, BE RECEIVED and the following recommendation BE APPROVED: 1. That staff BE DIRECTED to implement the recommendations included in Appendix 1 to Report AC-C 12-2023.
