That, in accordance with subsection 2.4 of Niagara Region’s Procedural By-law, the rules of procedure, specifically clause (e) of subsection 24.5, which states that the election of the Chair be conducted by secret ballot, BE SUSPENDED to permit Council to conduct the election of the Chair by open ballot, in that each ballot cast will bear the member’s name and the name of the nominee for whom they are voting.
